Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Veronica Schneider believes all people are unique and valuable, worthy of respect, worthy of a voice, and worthy of the chance to heal. Veronica believes each person seeking counseling services is a person who already has great inner strength and the ability to create and fulfill their dreams. Though they may not feel they have these attributes, they truly do. Veronica offers a safe, calming environment and serves as a guide in helping clients to reclaim their confidence, peace, and future direction.

Veronica works with young children, adolescents, and adults of all ages helping in areas that may be affecting inner-personal relationships that include: depression, anxiety, conflict resolution, trauma, grief issues, substance abuse, adjustment to medical issues, life transitions, and has special interest in families who have children who are facing a difficult medical diagnosis.

Veronica has expertise in prevention services, specifically, helping children to avoid becoming physically and/or emotionally abusive. Children are empowered to use words, actions, and choices in solving problems in peaceful and respectful ways via role-plays, puppets, and humor. Children also delight in the specialized pictures which accompany each lesson. Veronica uses one of the Dept. of Congress’ exemplary programs, Second Step, offering classes privately and in school settings and has a high success rate in violence prevention for children. Classes are offered in seven weekly sections. Veronica believes prevention of all forms of violence is important for families and for our communities at large. Veronica also offers violence and emotional abuse prevention for adults.
