Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Couples counseling is my specialty. I also work frequently with individual adult clients. I employ an eclectic approach in a practice that addresses a broad range of issues---depression, anxiety, relationship and sexual problems, grieving and loss. One area of special focus in my practice is wellness and work/life balance. Another area of specialty is chronic illness---dealing with the challenges of living with physical, mental or emotional conditions that affect all spheres of daily life. I work collaboratively with clients to build awareness of self-defeating patterns and create new approaches to relationships, life transitions and recurrent problems. Clients begin to discover new options as they develop the flexibility, capacity and broadened perspectives that help reduce distress and dissatisfaction while overcoming obstacles.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
