Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
At times we all worry that we’re somehow not good enough to find and keep the kinds of relationships that we really want. When this fear becomes chronic, it often leads to painful symptoms such as depression, anxiety, compulsive behaviors and troubled marriages. If this is happening to you, please call me. I specialize in helping people resolve longstanding fears to become more self-affirming and self-confident – the foundation of meaningful, enduring relationships.

I work collaboratively with each individual or couple to tailor treatment to their specific needs and personalities. Generally the therapy includes exploring the feelings and beliefs underlying their symptoms or patterns and trying out healthier alternatives. My approach is non-judgmental and compassionate.

Please call me, especially if you are struggling with relationships, depression or eating disorders. Phone: 415.339.8662.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
San Rafael, CA

My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, supportive, and interactive. My work is based on establishing a safe environment where trust can grow. I view symptoms as a way to call attention to unrecognized needs and unexpressed feelings. The goals of treatment include; learning to identify and express emotions, learning to set appropriate boundaries, developing skills such as self-soothing and impluse control and improving self-esteem.
