Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
In my 30 years of practice as a psychotherapist, I am amazed by the process of healing and growth that occurs when clients face themselves in an honest and courageous manner. Whether in individual, couple, family, or group therapy it is my intention to help create and support a safe environment So that my clients can tell the truth about their inner and outer experiences. Insight leads to understanding and this leads to constructive change. This natural process occurs as we meet in therapeutic relationship that is centered in mutual respect and compassion.

My methods are both traditional and innovative. Therapy is a creative venture at its best. Each person I have worked with has taught me something different about the therapy process and about myself as a therapist. I am committed to my own growth personally and professionally, and am grateful for the opportunity to practice this profession.
