Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I provide support for adults, teens and families who wish to live happier and healthier lives. Increasing awareness and learning effective ways to cope with and communicate feelings can lead to positive change and more meaningful relationships. I have a small private practice as well as work as a counselor/educator at UCSB in the Alcohol & Drug Program. Themes of transition, stress, independence, connection, self-esteem, identity, and substance use are some of the topics to explore. I also have experience working with children and families with developmental disabilities and in group homes.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I am in private practice, delivering telemedicine via Skype and FaceTime or by phone. My area of special emphasis is helping people improve their important relationships, and working with my clients to decrease and stop depression. If you are reading this, chances are one or more of your important relationshps are not working very well. Whether it's difficulty with a partner or spouse, teens or parents, friends or co-workers, a troubled relationship is painful.
