Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a California licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering my services for people and families experiencing mild to severe distress. I work with individuals, families and children. My approach is collaborative and I may act as a sounding board or mildly confront various remedies you may be considering to address your particular situation. My approach is eclectic which means I utilize many different theories depending on the specific issue we address together. In addition to my professional training, my life experience as a husband and as a father of two children can provide you with various alternatives you may not have considered. I offer a safe, secure space, free of ridicule, embarrassment and harsh judgment. Together we can discover what works for you.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
