Personal Statement:
Combining eclectic psychotherapeutic methods and modalities that are custom fit to each individual client, I provide nurturing, solution-focused approaches to assist you in making the positive changes needed to live a happier, insightful, balanced, and stress-free life. I am a Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in Aging, Mental Health, Depressive and Anxiety Disorders, and Anger Management. I hold a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology from Mount St. Mary’s College, and undergraduate degrees in English Literature and Liberal Studies from the University of Southern California and Chaminade University of Honolulu. Additionally, six months of my undergraduate study were spent in Oxford University, England, researching cultural anthropology and English literature. I also hold certifications from Antioch University in Older Adult Mental Health Services and from the Department of Veteran Affairs, National Center for PTSD Clinical Training Program. During my 10 years of practice, I have provided adults and children with intensive short and long-term psychotherapy in individual, couples, family, and group settings. I have experience with a wide range of psychological and emotional concerns, as well as developmental disabilities. Additionally, I provide clinical supervision to MFT and Social Work interns and am a volunteer for The American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles, Disaster Mental Health Unit (since 2005).
