Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Seasoned therapist, working in the field over 30 years and still learning. Advanced training in trauma work affecting developmental and attachment (connection with people).

Working on the critical incident debriefing team (CISM) for the past 15 years means providing support services to law enforcement and fire service personnel in Butte and surrounding counties.

Supervised several marriage family therapist interns, two now licensed; plan to provide group supervision, in the future specifically on trauma work.

Previously, specialized in children’s work both the private practice and public schools creating the opportunity to assist individuals of all ages in their academic challenges. Several years of teaching at the local university developed both educational and academic skills for those of us who might be fearful of success.

Family therapy works, especially around learning or developmental challenges brought depth and breadth to the work of family growth. Creating bonds which heal old family wounds helps all of us in the community. Won’t you try working on some of your own?
