Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Struggling with relationship challenges or going through a life transition may feel overwhelming. These difficulties can bring about anxiety, hopelessness, and a sense of isolation, but you do not have to face them alone. I want to understand what you are going through, and together, begin to create conditions allowing for change where it would be beneficial. We will determine how to make adversity more manageable, and work toward a sense of competence, relief, and even joy. Taking the first step toward making changes in your life is the beginning of a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

Curiosity and compassion are the guiding principles of my work. I offer talk therapy and somatic techniques, providing a holistic approach that treats the entire person. I am trained in EMDR, an innovative technique for processing trauma. I specialize in relational challenges, codependency, anxiety, depression, and life purpose.

I work with adolescents, adults, and couples. The therapy process is challenging, but extremely rewarding. At times, hope may seem distant, but together, we will begin to illuminate a path to a brighter future. It would be an honor to accompany you on the next step of your journey.

I do not accept insurance directly, but I can provide documentation if clients wish to submit to an insurance company for "out of network" benefit coverage.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
