Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Ready to move forward in your life, rather than feeling stuck? Are you looking for new ways, since old ways no longer work? Do you want to step up to a new level of satisfaction and interaction? This is what I help people do. My aim is to help you get quick relief and balance in your daily life now. Then to help you have a full felt-sense of the patterns and beliefs that hold you back currently. With this deep understanding, you can try out sustaining choices that come directly from your experience of your own life wisdom. I am trained in psychodynamic therapy, family systems, Hakomi, cognitive-behavioral, solution focused and transpersonal therapies. Informed by this solid theoretical background, I also often use methods that can touch quickly and directly into the unconscious, getting below defense patterns that are so hooked into the talking and rational mind. Some of these methods may include tapping into to the wisdom of the body's language or expressing through art mediums. Since this may be new territory and can be powerful, I work very sensitively, first establishing a solid therapeutic relationship and then working at your comfort level, pace and choice of methods.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
