Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
In therapy I utilize attachment theory and how early attachment impacts our future selves. I also use, CBT, Narrative, and Solution Focused therapies. When working together I look holistically at the situation and wonder together with you how to best build resilience and integrate the change and growth you desire. In session I strive to hold hope when you may find it difficult. If you are interested in exploring the inner workings of your life, family, parenting issues, career development, or your relationships then please contact me.

About My Practice

Office Hours
9am to 4pm
Services
I am a warm, collaborative therapist who enjoys working with children, adults and families. My hope is to build an alliance with each person that will facilitate personal growth and increased satisfaction in relationships. With both children and adults I employ, reflective listening, CBT skills, solution oriented, social stories, play therapy and lots of listening to all, especially both kids and their parents. When things seem difficult I can help brainstorm practical strategies for getting through hard times. I have a strong belief that we all know what is best for ourselves, sometimes it is just hard to envision.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
