Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I offer compassionate, effective, therapy for the problems you want to solve. Sometimes these problems are obvious, such as anxiety, depression or trauma. Sometimes they are more subtle, such a feeling that "something is wrong" or that "I could be happier, but don't know how." I can help ease your problems in a supportive, compassionate way. I am gifted and creative therapist, and you will find a safe, non-judgemental environment in therapy with me. Call (510) 771-7760 for a free, confidential, consultation! If you are suffering from a traumatic experience, I offer powerful, proven techniques (Google "EMDR"!) that can eliminate disturbing and intrusive thoughts, flashbacks and repetitive memories. These techniques can help with sleep, anxiety and depression. Many clients feel they get their lives back after treatment! I have completed two years of intensive post-graduate training in Pyschodynamic Psychotherapy, which is the bedrock for my flexible, tailored approach. I create a therapeutic approach specific to you, your needs, and your life. I use many effective tools such as EMDR, Hypnotherapy and Somatic work to help you.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
