Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I began my career as a young girl, who loved to hear and enact stories. I was drawn to fairytales and narrative, poetry, and dance. The domain of language called to me, and I sensed that my vocation would be expressed in inspirational, educational, or healing speech. It has been my life-long yearning to learn to speak in a way that heals and transforms, and allows another to feel witnessed, seen and heard. After a career in public relations, work life consulting, and coaching, I returned to school to study Spiritual Psychology, with a Master's in Counseling Psychology. I have been in private practice for the past eight years, and completed my internship at the YWCA Monterey County. Integrating my corporate background, I then accepted a position as Executive Director of the YWCA, and was responsible for the oversight of a Domestic Violence Shelter and countywide counseling centers. In studying Depth/Jungian and Transpersonal theories, I found a common language that expresses the depth of our soul's longing for meaning, and transformation. I believe that we come into this world with innate knowing, and search for the individuated path that leads us each to our own, journey. I came into this world, to walk beside others as they explore their inner landscape, renew their relationships with self, others, and the world. I love to work with individuals who are asking themselves meaningful questions in life, and are open to creating a life that they love, and truly want to live. I believe in the beauty of relationships, and the process to further develop intimate and relationship communication with couples, and children.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Pasadena, CA 91101

I am a Marriage and Family therapist in private practice. I work with individuals, couples, and families in short and long-term psychotherapy. We work together to explore memories of the relational dynamics of the individual’s family, the feelings those dynamics created for the individual as a child, and how the individual now relates to those feelings and memories.
