Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Psychotherapy for children (3-18) Using Play Therapy children as young as 3 are able to improve emotional and behavioral issues. Therapeutic Play is a developmentally sensitive modality through which children are able to experience a holistic and integrative format to assist them in meeting the challenges in their lives. Before entering private practice, I was fortunate to have opportunities to work with varied populations of troubled children experiencing difficulties posed by the foster system, domestic violence, adoption, learning disabilities, high functioning autism, critical illness, grief and loss and changes in family structures. My experience with children in therapy has enriched my work with couples and individuals by allowing me to see the wounded child that is a source of pain in many adult relationships.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
