Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Diane Dimeo-McLean. Psychotherapist and University Professor trained in both indepth clinical psychology (Ph.D.) and relationship therapy (M.A.).

In my work with individuals, couples, or families, my purpose is to establish a safe, empathic, nonjudgmental environment where the client(s) can explore, understand, and express themselves.

The treatment is tailored to the client utilizing approaches that allow the client to explore:

  • The many aspects of their personality
  • How these aspects are coming into play
  • Why individuals do what they do
  • Spiritual and archetypal aspects of their psyche and so on

They can identify patterns of behavior, and make changes in their lives. The client is helped to open up to unconscious processes through avenues such as dream exploration. These approaches allow clients to develop more satisfying relationships with themselves and others.

Overall the goal is to support clients towards a life as rich and full as it can be.
