Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I embrace and integrative model that focuses on your needs, working with you collaboratively as we uncover your path to healing, balance, and aliveness. Having struggled with the challenge of many life transitions-endings and beginnings, some imposed, some chosen-I have a particular interest in helping you with yours. I am an older therapist engaged in my second career. You can always expect from me compassion, warmth and openness. With individuals, I work with your life story to transform the present, embracing both change and self-acceptance. With couples, I focus on fostering intimacy, whatever the issue, helping each of you to find your voice and feel heard by your partner. In addition to my practice with individuals and couples, I also see couples together with my husband, Dan Wile, founder of Collaborative Couple Therapy (www.dan@danwile.com). Twice a year we offer a weekend Couples Workshop in our home.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
