Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Having worked in private practice for over 20 years, I am committed to helping individuals, couples and families find the understanding they need to grow, love and live in the healthiest ways possible. My initial goal is to provide a safe, trusting environment in which individuals and couples can learn about themselves and others in new ways and then take the often difficult steps toward changing past patterns. I encourage my clients to be straight, open and honest with me and I do the same in return. I work intuitively in the moment and treat people as individuals with differing needs. I look for the underlying issues that prevent people from changing what isn’t working in their lives. We can only find what we are looking for by choosing to do our lives differently, and we can only make different choices when we become clear that our repetitive patterns, the patterns that get acted out in all of our life situations, aren’t working. Once we see ourselves with awareness and clarity, a whole new world opens up. My practice has been weighted towards working with couples (marital, premarital, gay/lesbian, etc.). I have experience working with issues related to infertility, pregnancy loss, mid-life parenting, and life transitions. I have had advanced training in working with children and adults with ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Disorders. My aim is to facilitate the development of greater awareness, authenticity, acceptance and appreciation.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
