Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Are your concerns keeping you from leading the life you want and being the person you want to be? You may be surprised that with modest effort and professional support many problems can be overcome. If you are willing to make that effort and want a professional who will have a sincere interest in your well being, I provide a caring, warm, collaborative environment where you can go at your own pace.

If finances are an issue I can offer affordable sliding scale fees.

Although I see a wide variety of clients, many of my clients are women who are 20 somethings or 30 somethings facing issues relevant to that age group, such as career decisions, educational choices and social/romantic issues.

Following a personally enriching business career I attended graduate and earned a Masters in Clinical Psychology. In the past several years I have maintained a private practice working with individuals, couples and families, and group work specializing in parenting, separation, divorce and “empty nesters”. I believe that therapy is an extraordinary way to learn about ourselves when done in a safe, non-judgmental environment. I bring hope, knowledge and strength to this therapeutic process.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
