Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Influenced by Lacanian Psychoanalysis as well as Jungian and Narrative therapies and Nonviolent Communication, my approach is to meet you where you are at. You may be interested in direct, short-term crisis resolution or in more long-term, personal exploration and transformation. Whatever it may be, I focus on what you are wanting. I will assist you in reconstructing your life based less on what others want of you and more on what you want for yourself – your most core needs, values, desires and dreams. In the spirit of mutual discovery, my approach is flexible and interactive, cultivating a safe space for you to fully speak your truth. I have worked with a great variety of clients – from private clinics to schools to hospital settings to homeless shelters to jails. I am strongly committed to fostering the unexpected opportunities that arise when working across difference.
