Personal Statement:
FREE Problem Gambling Treatment! Dr. Lange deals with anxiety, depression, addictions, relationship and life-change issues. Through years of management and counseling at The Betty Ford Center as well as other trainings, Dr. Lange is qualified as a Certified Addictions Specialist and Gambling Counselor to make assessments and treat the various addictions. As Training Chair of the California Council and is a Professor with California State University, Palm Desert Campus. He also presents workshops on communication, stress, time management, dealing with feelings and other therapeutic topics. Dr Lange utilizes his 30 years of psychotherapy experience in clinical interventions to make effective, brief and solution oriented changes. He was awarded the 2011 "Achieving Success One Step at a Time" award by the Office of Problem Gambling. Dr. Gary Lange has presented many lectures on Treating Problem Gamblers and their Families internationally and currently has been approved by the Office of Problem Gambling to provide FREE treatment to gamblers and their families. For a limited time, individuals may recieve treatment for gambling related problems at no expense to themselves. Call or email today for more information or to set up an appointment. Through this program Dr. Lange has also been training other therapists with UCLA and the California Office of Problem Gambling to learn how to treat problem gamblers and their families. Recent presentations include: "You Bet Your Life: Helping Problem Gamblers" at the Betty Ford Center; "Seven Steps to Help Couples" at the National Council on Problem Gambling; "Liar, Liar, Money's on Fire: Treating Gamblers and their Families at the CAMFT conference; "Tender Loving Communication" Palm Desert. He also recently published "How Addiction Lights Up Our Brains" in the NCPG, “Gambling Addiction” in Associated Content; “Will Gamblers Get Out Alive?” The National Psychologist; “The Kinder We Were to Them.” Phactum Magazine; "Gambling Away the Golden Years: Senior Gambling" in Phactum; "Treating Pathological Gamblers" in The National Psychologist.
