Personal Statement:
I am a licensed Marriage Family therapist specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy. I maintain a small private practice in the Sacramento area. With over 11 years experience in the mental health and behavioral fields, I am currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad range of clients. In addition to being a prominent child/adolescent therapist, I have written and facilitated numerous parent-behavioral trainings and am currently certified as a child/adolescent parent trainer for Active Parenting. I have also facilitated social skills, anger management, and sex offending groups. As a cognitive behavioral therapist, my therapeutic approach is to the provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate an eclectic therapeutic approach which ranges from experiential approaches, such as art and sandtray, to cognitive based interventions. This allows me to offer a highly personalized approach for each of my clients. With compassion, understanding, and reflection, I work with each individual or family member to help build on personal strengths and encourage growth.
