Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
There are many factors that keep us from expressing our true nature including the development of our adaptive personality structure. Additionally, we may have experienced trauma in our lives. As a consequence, we may be dealing with anger, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, addiction and other self-defeating behaviors.

I will help you develop a non-judgmental curiosity toward yourself and, if we are working in couple’s therapy, toward your partner, so that together we can examine your emotional responses and troubling behavior patterns. Overtime, the disturbing emotions and repetitive patterns can be understood, metabolized and integrated, freeing you up to have more real freedom and joy in your life.

I have many years of experience and work in a warm, empathetic and interactive way. I have specialized, advanced training in working with couples and am working towards AASECT certification as a sex therapist.

Featured Therapist

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
