Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Are you feeling "stuck" in your life? Maybe your relationship is struggling or a life transition has left you feeling lost and disconnected from those important to you. Perhaps the pull of anxiety, trauma or grief is affecting your ability to fully engage in your life. If you are facing such roadblocks, I encourage you to contact me. Our work will be collaborative - you with your pickaxe and I with my headlamp - as we chip away at those blocks and navigate through them so that you can get back to the important work of fulfilling your life's intention! My previous work as an actress & personal trainer informs my therapeutic work in creative ways. I use experiential therapies to help couples feel more connected and to help individuals struggling with anxiety, grief, depression or trauma move beyond those negative patterns toward the lives they want to live. Our therapeutic relationship is a primary tool for change, so we'll spend our early sessions building this alliance; to that most important end, I offer you my genuineness, warmth, humor and honesty. Please feel free to contact me for a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation.

Pamela J. Blawusch, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
