Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Take the first step of the journey towards connecting to your true self and achieve an authentic life. We have all had the experience of wanting to change something specific in our life and yet feeling helpless to do so. This situation may be a challenging relationship, a personal habit or a difficult mood, such as depression or anxiety. I am most interested in helping people understand the hidden influences that effect their feelings and behavior. By coming to terms with these conflicting inner aspects, we can more comfortably live with our self and with our loved ones. In these past twenty-five years, I have had training in a variety of treatment theories and modalities, including Jungian Analysis, Sandplay, Dream Interpretation, Clinical Hypnosis, Art Therapy and Active Imagination. These approaches have been quite useful in helping others develop better relationships, cope with chronic illness and grief, transform creativity blocks, manage depression and anxiety, as well as, navigate a variety of life transitions. To learn more about the work that I do, please visit my website I look forward to hearing from you.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
San Rafael, CA

My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, supportive, and interactive. My work is based on establishing a safe environment where trust can grow. I view symptoms as a way to call attention to unrecognized needs and unexpressed feelings. The goals of treatment include; learning to identify and express emotions, learning to set appropriate boundaries, developing skills such as self-soothing and impluse control and improving self-esteem.
