Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in South Pasadena. I am trained to participate in facilitating change in relationship between people in order to achieve more satisfying interpersonal relationships. I do this by working with individuals, families and children. Before becoming an MFT, I worked for more than 20 years with adolescents and young adults. I have always enjoyed working with that age group and continue to specialize in that population. I also have experience working with children and adults of all ages.

I believe we all have struggles that can overwhelm us. Therapy gives us the tools to face them head on and not only survive but also thrive. It is a privilege to watch as people grow and change in spite of serious circumstances and to celebrate each step along the way. If this is what you want in your life, I would be honored to be part of that process.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
