Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Are you struggling in relationship? Navigating anxiety, confusion, or doubt? Do you find yourself blocked from reaching your full potential? I’m here to help you find the fertile, solid ground inside from which you can nurture a life in which you wholeheartedly thrive. My approach with couples & individuals is collaborative & unique to each client, but the basis of our work remains the same: to foster a foundation of respect, trust, transparency, & loving-kindness from which real change can occur. I specialize in helping couples take their relationship to the next level – whether in crossing the threshold to engagement, marriage, non-monogamy, infidelity, or even finding loving closure. I am here to call you out, in a direct, playful, & caring way, so that together you can learn the skills necessary to bring out the best in each other. We'll spend time exploring the conditioning each of you brings from your past to understand where & how you get stuck together. However, we’ll emphasize your experience here & now in ways that strengthen the dynamic qualities that brought you together initially. Together you'll learn to enhance your experience of an intimacy rooted in authenticity. In my work with individuals, I specialize in helping you face even the most painful of circumstances as the essential fuel for awakening - be it anxiety, trauma, or difficult relationship & family dynamics. By facilitating compassionate self-awareness & the ability to embrace your strengths and vulnerabilities, I assist you in cultivating an empowered, dynamic relationship with yourself, your loved ones, & your work in the world. By embracing the truth of who you are here and now, we will facilitate your unfolding into the dynamic, gifted person you already are & are ready to be. I incorporate tools for embodied, experiential inquiry integrated from years teaching yoga and mindfulness, studying Eastern and earth-based wisdom traditions, and through my ongoing studies in somatic and relational therapeutic modalities. With a background in international teaching, activism, political studies, and non-profit work, I am informed by a culturally-affirming, social justice lens. I have often been described as being 'fiercely compassionate'. Call or email me to set up a free initial consult to see if working together is a fit – I look forward to speaking with you.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Pasadena, CA 91101

I am a Marriage and Family therapist in private practice. I work with individuals, couples, and families in short and long-term psychotherapy. We work together to explore memories of the relational dynamics of the individual’s family, the feelings those dynamics created for the individual as a child, and how the individual now relates to those feelings and memories.
