Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My approach to therapy is based on creating insight, finding meaning in one’s life, and understanding the way people view the story of themselves and their lives. I believe it is important to reflect on past experiences in order to understand the narrative of one’s life. Understanding the narrative of one’s past and present can help individuals find meaning from their experiences in order to move forward and fulfill their goals and write their future in a way that is meaningful to them. The therapeutic process is a personal journey and everyone has a unique story to share. As we progress through the journey of life, circumstances or events occur which leave us feeling unbalanced or stagnant. When we feel unbalanced or stuck in life, it can have a negative effect on our thoughts and feelings. I believe that the people are the experts on their lives and that everyone holds the answers to their questions or problems. My role is to act as a guide to bring about change and increase insight in order to help people move forward with their lives. I believe that through the process of gaining insight, change is possible and achievable for anybody.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Pasadena, CA 91101

I am a Marriage and Family therapist in private practice. I work with individuals, couples, and families in short and long-term psychotherapy. We work together to explore memories of the relational dynamics of the individual’s family, the feelings those dynamics created for the individual as a child, and how the individual now relates to those feelings and memories.
