Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Therapy can be a short term process and/or a stepping stone in search of life-long knowledge and skills. We are all equipped with the tools to create true meaning in our lives and sometimes all we need is to find the key to unlock our own skill sets. With the appropriate guidance, the therapeutic relationship can facilitate real change in how one thinks and feels about oneself and others, leading to greater fulfillment and enjoyment in life.

I specialize in working with school age children, adolescents, young adults and adults experiencing transitions in their lives. Transitional adjustments can create an environment which promotes depression, confusion and intense anxiety. Teens struggle between the fine line of inter-independence and are looking for their real identity. It is important to recognize and build on their strengths so that they feel a sense of purpose and worthiness in order to thrive. Individuals who feel a sense of acceptance of their circumstances are apt to making more thoughtful decisions and more lifelong choices, and develop positive lasting relationships.

I also assist families to better understand one another and master life’s challenges during times of change, loss, separation and divorce. During times of crises, when a person feels very vulnerable, it takes a tremendous amount of courage and energy to seek help. Through therapy, we collaboratively establish goals that lead to a pathway of well-being that enables us to discover practical solutions to problems – all within the context of our values and beliefs.

As a Licensed Marriage Therapist my scope of practice includes a broad range of issues. My approach is genuine, interactive, intuitive, nurturing, supportive, and educational. My office is located in Calabasas and I am available by appointment. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Carlsbad, CA

I provide a therapeutic environment that allows individuals and couples to explore ideas, beliefs, life experiences, thoughts and feelings that may stand in the way of being who you truly want to be. I can help point out repeating dysfunctional patterns that may exsist in relationships at home, at work and with friends and family.I teach people how to respond in their lives versus getting caught in reacting to personalities and events.
