Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I can’t begin to express my love, appreciation and deep sense of humility for my clients throughout these many years. I experience tremendous admiration in the stories of their lives. And they have blessed me by allowing me to bare witness to their healing and becoming whole.

I bring a wide variety of experience to the therapeutic profession, having worked with child abuse and neglect, troubled teens, severely mentally ill persons and their families, and people with addictions. As a Marriage Preparation Team, my husband and I are presenters for all day workshops for engaged couples.

My experience also includes having facilitated a great diversity of programs on topics, such as: marriage, family, parenting, singleness, alcoholism, death and dying, having cancer or disabilities, infidelity, infertility, aging, social isolation and teaching Bible studies.

In addition to being a professional counselor, I am also a published writer and an inspirational speaker.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
