Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Do you worry all the time? Stay awake thinking about your kids, your job and your future? How is your communication with your teenager? your children's teachers or the school? I can help you navigate many of life's challenges. As a teacher for 22 years prior to be becoming a therapist I am experienced in addressing many challenges that families are facing in our world today. Feeling overwhelmed, sad, angry or disappointed are normal emotions and times can be difficult to manage. I can help you develop skills and coping strategies to improve your life and relationships. My practice utilizes a strength based approach that is designed to assist clients to meet their personal goals. Family issues, relationship conflict, addiction, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, or chronic illness I can help. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectic Behavioral therapeutic approaches to address all needs. In my experience working in an intensive outpatient setting I am able to effectively assess and develop effective treatment plans for individualized treatment. I recognize the importance of a comprehensive understanding of each client and the stressors and strengths each has. I will meet you where you are at!
