Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Our day to day lives can provide each of us with challenges and opportunities for growth. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I work to create a safe, supportive and non-judgmental therapeutic experience. It is my experience that those seeking therapy are looking to create more meaningful and intimate relationships with those close to them. The process of therapy can help with the journey. Therapy provides the opportunity to improve communication, reduce the stress, anxiety and anger we often experience, and to improve the most important relationship we have… the one we have with ourselves.

Since 1991, I have had experience working with issues of trauma, especially as it pertains to the issues of sexual abuse. I also work with the issues that are particular to the challenges of adolesence and all the challenges that come along with parenting adolescents. Please feel free to contact me to ask for more information. Thank you.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
