Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Professionally, I have served parents and children in public schools and church settings for many years. I am a retired public high school teacher of teen parents and at risk youth. Personally, I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I believe, and have experienced, that healing and wholeness are possible for all people and I strive for that in my practice. I work to guide clients to understand the role their behavior plays in their relationships. The clients are made aware of the fact that they are powerless to change the behavior of others, but they are powerful to change the way they respond to other people and situations. Christian prayer is an important part of my life and is incorporated into therapy sessions should it be requested by the client.
