Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have been in practice for 9 years and have worked with a variety of issues. Life is hard and we want our lives and relationships to be healthy and good. Sometimes we lose sight of what is important in life and become complacent, depressed, lost. I am a direct, solution-focused therapist who can help you get back on track. People who see me have a variety of concerns: gaining self-awareness, anxiety/depression, relationship concerns and more. I think therapy can be very powerful in discovering our true selves and what we want out of life. I believe in setting goals with my clients as a guide for where we are headed. I use cognitive techniques as well as psychodynamic techniques to explore one’s past and how it affects the now. I love working with couples. I also have extensive experience with co-dependency/addiction. I am very direct with my clients which assist in the process of therapy. I am honest and open and partner with you to achieve the goals we have set together. I want the best for my clients and I feel honored to share in their sadness, hopes and dreams.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
