Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I help couples find love and trust again when one of them leaves their religion. Whether you are the partner who left or the one who stayed, a faith crisis or transition is hard on a marriage. You may feel betrayed, confused, desperate, heartbroken, or lonely. I can help! I help couples find ways to respect the beliefs and choices of both parties and fall in love again. It's possible your relationship can be even stronger than before! I also help individuals and families recover from addiction. I can help you learn not only how to 'not use' anymore but also how to truly heal. Part of that healing is healing your relationships. Together we will help you rebuild trust and learn to connect with your loved ones. Whether we work together on religious issues or addiction, I am here to support you. I am supportive of non-religious paths to healing and recovery. I will also honor and support you incorporating your faith into your sessions. I am here to help you find what works for you. Call me at 951-999-7775 for a free 15 minute consultation, and discover if working with me is a good fit for you.

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
