Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
We go through life feeling that there must be more: more to our relationships, our potentials, or just MORE! Why can’t we achieve success and fulfillment? Why can't we find that perfect partner? Or, why can’t we seem to use our creativity and talents? We struggle to understand what we are doing and why we repeat the same behaviors and relationships. Often depression, anxiety, trauma or a significant life transition, can interfere with work, family, friendships [and our sense of well being]. I often work with highly creative individuals and couples: writers, actors and artists, that may experience “Artist’s Block.” 100 words To address these questions we have to look at our own process of growth. Becoming aware of ourselves is central to allowing change to occur. I work creatively and sensitively. Together we'll examine, within a safe, therapeutic environment, what keeps you from deeper relationships and a more [authentic], satisfying life. 50 Specializing in Jungian and psychodynamic psychology, I may also draw on other various approaches, based on the nature of the symptom/situation. These may include: family systems and cognitive, as well as a creative and imaginal approach of dream analysis, sandplay and art therapy. Positive change and healing are possible. 50

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
