Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Taking the first step toward getting help is often the most difficult part of your journey. When you have tried every avenue and are still unable to overcome a personal challenge asking for help takes courage, strength, and resolve on your part. I strive to provide a healing environment where our therapeutic work can take place. Whether it is individual therapy or couples counseling, it will be my privilege to work collaboratively with you to help you build upon your strengths and resources, and to guide you on your path to living your best life. My theoretical approach is Solution Focused Therapy where our main focus is to find a solution that works for you. With trust in your therapist, self-commitment, and hard work, this modern theoretical approach can be very successful. I have specialized training in treatment and issues of individual and couple's LGBT clients.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
