Does anxiety, depression, or phobias create turmoil or a feeling of "stuckness" in your life? Do you find yourself overly trying to please others? Do you suffer from reoccuring thoughts or nightmares that may have to do with unresloved childhood trauma caused by physical, emotional, or sexual abuse? Does a past accident or other trauma cause you difficulty in coping with the present? Has alcohol, crystal meth., cocaine, or other drugs taken over your life? Do relationships cause turmoil in your life? Are you repeating the same patterns in one relationship after another?

In my journey towards becoming a psychotherapist, I started in the business world. After graduating from UCLA with an Economics degree, I first entered into accounting. After several years, a promotion as a financial analyst opened up a larger vision of the business world. I then entered into entrepreneurship and discovered the joy and challenges of controlling my own destiny as a self-employed individual. This lead me to real estate sales, where I eventually obtained real estate brokers licenses in both California and New York.
As success continued building, not without pitfalls, I never stopped studying my true ultimate calling; psychology. During my years at UCLA, I started out as a biology pre-med major and then a psychobiology major. After three years of biology, chemistry, physics, and calculus, a hasty switch to business seemed the prudent and safe route to take for graduating into the real world. However, my favorite classes were always psychology and I knew one day I would return to that subject.
After working in the business world for almost 30 years, at age 50, I finally did return to my true passion and obtained a Masters in Counseling Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Finally, my life work began and a feeling of coming home prevails as I work in helping transform client’s lives. With the addition of EMDR to my therapy, in conjunction with depth psychology, cognitive behavioral, client centered, and other approaches, the transformation for many clients greatly accelerates. I celebrate their achievements and I am honored to be a part of their transformation.
