Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Choosing a therapist is a difficult task. It's important to be really comfortable with your counselor so that you can open up and freely share what's going on in your life. While the therapists' education, experience, and theoretical orientation are important, above all your ability to connect with and work with this person will make all the difference in your counseling experience. I will be happy to speak with you on the phone so that you can make a decision as to whether I am a good fit for you. If I'm not the right person, I'll be happy to provide you with other referrals in the area who might better meet your needs.

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
