Personal Statement:
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist skilled in assisting others to work through challenging transitions in their lives by providing an atmosphere that allows for growth and development to improve the process. My theoretical orientation is mainly that of Cognitive-Behavioral and Existentialism. In helping others to grow, I continuously strive to improve my own growth through regularly participating in educational trainings and working with a variety of culturally diverse clients. I have an extensive history of working with children, people dealing with substance use, those struggling with depression and anxiety. I am currently registered with the California Boards of Behavioral Sciences (MFC 48706) and have been in good standing with them since I joined in 2001.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
