Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Through heartfelt listening, I create a space in which you can freely express what is difficult at the moment, and clarify the direction you want to move toward. I believe that everyone has the wisdom inside to know what is true, yet at times we need an experienced counselor to talk to, who can help make sense and give guidance. I can work with you on immediate goals as well as doing deeper work with lasting changes. Often what brings people to my office are life transitions, relationship issues, or to reduce stress and anxiety. I have considerable experience as a grief counselor, and often see clients wanting to improve their quality of life, relationships and communication. My training and experience include using mindfulness in learning more deeply about oneself, and how to befriend what needs healing. I facilitate groups in mindful parenting and special groups for divorced mothers and single moms by choice. In addition, I lead a series called "A Mindful Approach to Anger and Stress Management for Mothers". I would be happy to talk to you to see if I can help you.
